The purpose of our church is summarized from two passages of Scripture:

In the Great Commandment, “Jesus said, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart...soul...& mind.’ This is the first & greatest commandment. The second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law & Prophets hang on these two commandments.’” MATT.22:36-40

In the Great Commission: “Jesus said, ‘Go & make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father & of the Son & of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.’” MATT.28:19-20

Based on those two Scriptures & others, Adamsville Baptist Church exists to accomplish these SIX IMPERATIVES:

> WORSHIP - to celebrate God’s Person & presence

> MINISTRY - to demonstrate God’s love

> TEACHING - to know God & His purposes

> EVANGELISM - to communicate God’s Word

> DISCIPLESHIP - to mature God’s people

> FELLOWSHIP - to unite Christ’s people to His Church
